Special Subjects

Art

Pre kinder – 5th grade attend art classes once a week, students 6th-8th grade who choose art as their elective attend classes daily. Students develop new skills and talents while designing unique creations using a variety of materials. Each lesson focuses upon developing skills, learning techniques and creative experiences with a variety of media.

Music

Music classes are once a week with a music teacher. Students are given the opportunity to sing in school programs throughout the year.

Technology

Students go to the computer lab once a week for instruction.

Library

Students receive instruction by the librarian in author studies and book genre.

Physical Education

The primary goal is to allow the students to discover their physical God-given gifts and talents enabling them to cultivate their Christian character through commitment, responsibility, discipline, team work, and sportsmanship.

Instrumental Music

Band/Piano is provided by an outside instructor before school. An additional fee is charged for students participating in this program.

Chapel

A highlight once a week is to come together for chapel. The chapels are varied from week to week and might include such things as guest speakers, films, singing groups, plays and other special interest groups.

Foreign Language

We are proud to announce the arrival of Rosetta Stone Foreign Language Classes. Middle School students will have the opportunity to study a variety of languages through the Rosetta Stone School Program. Languages Licensed:  Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English (British), English (American), Farsi, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin American), Swedish, Tagalog, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
