Rocking Readers

The goal of Northwest Hills Christian School is to insure that our children develop the skills needed to read God’s word.  In an effort to provide the best in Christian education, Northwest Hills Christian School is happy to announce a new service for its students.  The “Rocking Readers” program will offer students an opportunity to enhance and improve the many skills involved in the reading process.

The “Rocking Readers” program will have one sessions.  It will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7:30a.m. – 8:00a.m.

Curriculum:  Varied techniques and strategies will be implemented.

Requirements

  • K-2nd grade
  • Parent request
  • Teachers’ recommendation
  • Master Reading Specialist’s recommendation
  • Director’s recommendation
  • Fee – $25 a month

We are praying that we will be able to expand this program in the future.

Ms. Morrison

Ms. Morrison has been a first grade teacher at Northwest Hills Christian School for 5 years. She is a certified EC-4 Generalist teacher. She has a Master’s degree from St. Mary’s University. Additionally, she is certified as a Reading Specialist, a Master Reading Instructor, and a Special Education Instructor.

Ms. Morrison enjoys working with children at all learning levels.  Furthermore, she is an avid Spurs fan!
